Dense Barium Flint Glass
Dense Barium Flint Glass is referred to as BaK glass ZBaF glass. It has a higher refractive index than barium flint glass. It is made by adding BaO, ZnO and other components to heavy flint glass or adding PbO and other components to heavy crown glass. Its dispersion is also between these two types of glass. The dispersion increases as the ratio of PbO to BaO increases. Mainly used as a material for optical parts in optical instruments, such as Spherical Lenses, Cylindrical lenses
By modifying the glass formula, the optical glass without lead, arsenic and cadmium and other radioactive elements is expressed by a prefix "H-" indicating its envioronment-friendly characteristics, for example: H-ZBaF52
