Dense Flint Glass
Dense Flint Glass is referred to as ZF glass. It has the characteristics of high refraction and high dispersion. The density is great. It is the glass with the highest lead content in the Na2O-K2O-PbO-SiO2 system, and the mass fraction of PbO is greater than 55%. Because of its high lead content, this type of glass can be used as a radiation protection glass in addition to being used as a material for optical parts, such as Spherical Lenses, prism and Cylindrical lenses.
By modifying the glass formula, the optical glass without lead, arsenic and cadmium and other radioactive elements is expressed by a prefix "H-" indicating its envioronment-friendly characteristics, for example: H-ZF7
