High Index Ball Lenses
The refractive index of ball lenses of different materials:
- Optical Glass(H-K9L,H-ZLAF50S , H-ZLAF68,H-ZLAF92)
The refractive index of the glass material is critical to the performance of a spherical lens and determines the ability of the lens to refract light. Specifically:
1. Focal length: The higher the refractive index, the greater the refraction angle of the light in the ball lens, so the required lens curvature is smaller and the focal length is correspondingly shorter. Conversely, glass materials with lower refractive index require larger curvature to achieve the same focal length;
2. Spherical aberration control: In optical design, high refractive index glass materials help reduce spherical aberration and improve the imaging quality of the lens. Because high refractive index materials can more accurately control the propagation path of light and reduce the scattering and deflection of light inside the lens
CLZ Optical Co., Ltd. can provide such high-index ball lenses, Please check out CLZ's Online Stock for a wide selection of ball lenses in a variety of sizes!
