Plano-Concave Lenses

Plano-Concave Lenses

A plano-concave lens is a versatile optical element that has a negative focal length. Unlike other lenses that converge light rays and focus them to a single point, plano-concave lenses diverge light rays, dispersing them in different directions. This characteristic of plano-concave lenses allows them to be used in beam expanders, projection systems, and more.

In addition to beam expanders and projection systems, the plano-concave lens offers a range of other applications. In optical instruments, it is often used to collimate light sources. Collimation is the process of aligning parallel rays of light. By employing a flat-concave lens, it diverges the incident light to produce a parallel output that enables precise measurements in devices such as spectrometers, optical sensors, and astronomical telescopes.

CLZ Optical Co., Ltd. stocks plano-concave lenses ranging from 10mm to 250mm in diameter with a full range of focal lengths to meet your needs. We can also customize optical components to meet your requirements using a variety of optical materials, such as optical glass, fused silica, silicon.

We can modifying diameter of lenses and blacking edge in stock optics to meet your requriments.

This can achieve:

The stock optics diameter from large to small and tighter diameter tolerance.

Coated Area is a continuous coating  extending to the edges of the optical component. (Edge after coating)

Edge-blackened lenses, or inked lenses, minimize the stray light within an optical system.
